Swedish Flying Saucer’s home planet is located squarely within the cannabis music nexus. We enthuse at any opportunity for cannabis- and music-themed discussion and analysis. We believe unflinchingly that music and cannabis share a nexus in human consciousness. We call it the cannabis music nexus.
I’ve interacted with at least 100 different budtenders over the past few years as a medical cannabis consumer. The best of these budtenders were cannabis enthusiasts providing exceptional customer service. The worst of them were uninformed and aloof, ruining my shopping experiences and leaving me searching for new stores. The cannabis industry lacks uniform minimum qualifications for budtenders. I’d like that to change.
Note: This is the fourthinstallment in our series about cannabis-friendly music, drawn from the clips we curate on our Instagram feed. All you need to know is that this is heady, cannabis-friendly music.
16. Max Frost & The Troopers – The Shape of Things to Come (1968)
Kicking off this cannabis-friendly music installment (in no particular order) is Max Frost & The Troopers’ “The Shape of Things to Come” from the 1968 teen rebellion film Wild in the Streets. The American International Pictures shock-cinema spectacle relates the tale of a fictional band led by singer Max Frost who becomes involved in politics in support of lowering the voting age to 18. The group’s rabid fans take things further, demanding the voting age be lowered to 15 and things go downhill from there.
710 Life is a Los Angeles area company that manufactures a wide variety of standard and portable cannabis vaping and dabbing devices. The company’s proprietary e-nail coil is designed to work seamlessly with a specially made quartz banger, an upgrade sold separately from their e-nail packages. I discovered 710 Life last year in a High Times article reviewing 2018’s 10 best e-nails and have used their micro mini e-nail reliably for the past 5 months dabbing live resins, jelly waxes, shatters, crumbles, and other extracts. After putting my e-nail through daily tests of performance and durability, powering it up and down, disconnecting and reconnecting the coil and cord, disassembling, cleaning and reassembling the nail components and dabbing anew without incident, it is clear why the award-winning device made it on the High Times list.
